🏈 Bob Stoops is exploring a comeback to coaching with the XFL? We'll see

I don't understand this, walk away and enjoy the rest of your life w/o the stresses of work.

Go volunteer, find a few hobbies, spend time with your family.

He's certainly made enough money not to worry about that four letter word WORK.

Back in the day, with the Americans, Vulcans, and later Stallions the advantage the upstarts had was that the NFL was on fire. Stadiums were full. Some of the owners even signed NFL players and high draft picks like, Larry Csonka, Hershal Walker, Steve Young. B'ham even enjoyed Joe Cribbs, Matthew Reed, and John Hadl. I remember sitting in Legion Field and it would be sold out.

Don't see that excitement happening again. Too much stuff now on TV and the internet and the NFL can't come close to selling out their own home games. With Sunday Ticket and so much to keep us entertained, it feels like all this XFL talk is another pro football disaster waiting to happen.

The way XFL coaches are leaving for other jobs, it's either not going to ever launch, or coaches are simply using it as a job board to announce their interest in coaching again.

You should see the athletes they are sending invites to for try outs. There is a pro wrestler, that was in WWE at one point at least, that is kin to the Rock and played college football at UTEP. He received an invite... problem is he's 36 years old, hasn't played football in over 10 years and was NEVER a starter even at UTEP. If that league ever gets off the ground - and if the AAF is even a minor success XFL doesn't even stand a bad chance - it is going to be so awful.
