🏈 Bo Pix with one of the stupidest statements I've ever heard.

There was a caller on Jox yesterday who was a self-proclaimed auburn booster (implied a big money guy). One of the hosts knew him and confirmed as much. Anyway, booster dude goes on to say that he'd help with the buyout but that he wanted to hire..... wait for it..... wait for it.... Art Briles. :ROFLMAO:

LOL...
Art Briles and Bruce Pearl in same athletic department.....
What a group that would be...after firing Softball Coach for impropriety ..
Now... @Brandon Van de Graaff .....talk about making a statement ....

They are what they are, at least booster guy wasn't afraid to admit it out loud (on a 100,000 watt station).

@50+yeartidefan the "little stuff" comment. It's just not a fair comment in my view.

Tennessee...quit after 1 year
FAU....did ok...raised grade from F to C-

I don't see these two comments as being fair either. Mentioning USC as an indictment on Lane is questionable. A .650 win percentage at a school in the middle of being slammed by the NCAA isn't a black mark on a resume. The way he ran the program was an example of the job being too big for him. I still see the same issues with him now at Ole Miss as I saw years ago; an inability to maintain focus. And UT...had the best results there in 15 years, yeah? That 2009 team was competitive and that's not something we can say about a lot of UT teams lately.

But I will say this. Given time, he has the ability to leave a John Vaught mark in the history at Ole Miss. If he stays. And, I believe he's smart enough to realize the job in Oxford is a better fit for him now than one in West Opelika.

"Little stuff". Dont know what that means...

yeah...his 2019 UT job was....good ...raised rating from F to C

He reminds me of a guy ...that things keep falling right for...some deserving...some not...

i thin ole ms...is a good place for him...i dont see as a destination job though...
And i agree...better than AU...but the bucks and potential are at top line places...
Tennessee should have forgiven him...and hired him back...

Wonder if AU would ever consider going after kiffin?

sure wouldnt want to see that...

I don't think Kiffin would even consider the barn. He's is not going to let the power brokers (yellow man and etc.) tell him what coaches to hire, what players to recruit, what players to play, and etc. However, if he did take the job he would be gone in 2 years because of the things just mentioned.

I think the Boogs are stuck with Malzhan and they know it..lol! The buyout is still high, the market will harm them and Texas, Michigan, Tennessee, USC are all potentially looking for coaches which puts at best 6th best job open. Plus I hear there could be 10 pro head jobs open.
I think they get a confidence booster this week against the dogs and they give him and extension
