I wonder if Boise could play a game like that 5 weeks in a row. say Arkansas, Florida, South Carolina, Ole Miss, Tennesse the after a break comback with LSU, Miss ST, Auburn then another rematch with Florida. All this after a second week game vs Penn ST.

Now imagine after Alabama beat VT last year if they played toledo, new mexico state, idaho, uc davis, fresno, la tech then the finally against wait for it Utah State. come on Boise is a good team I just don't see them worthy of a championship not getting tested but once a year. I believe.

it really makes me sick that people want to see them in the title game with a WAC schedule. It just cheapens the game I love so much. It encourages weak non-conference schedules. A one loss SEC, Big 10, Big 12, PAC 10 should be in the title game way before Boise.

The game you love so much doesn't get much more shameful than it's current state. It's the only sport on Earth that doesn't determine it's champion on the field of play. They do that in chess for god's sake!! Oh, & WINLESS Washington getting a larger share of the BCS money than UNDEFEATED Utah. Now THAT is a true shame!

Your sentiment has merit, but if we had the playoff you want, Boise wouldn't make the championship game like BadAllergies said. They would play creampuffs all year long and then have to beat several elite teams in a row to get to the championship game. You don't learn to play at that level week after week without doing it during the season like SEC, BigTen, etc. teams do. I like Boise State and I think they are a very good team and they could be any team in the country, but I don't think they can beat top level teams week after week like we do.

Even if Boise St. goes undefeated and doesn't make into the BCSCG we'll be no closer to a playoff than we were before this year. The college game will go the way the dollar sign leads it, and the dollar sign is not headed down the road of a future playoff system.

the big boys better start scheduling them, or this is gonna continue to happen. boise state is for real and I think they could give any of the top 10 teams a hell of a game based on how they have stepped up in the big games year after year. they came into this game with all the hype and pressure on them and they won, even when I thought they were gassed, they played their game. vaTech on the other hand needs to stop scheduling opening season loses...jeeze. their fans must be sick of this.

I don't get all the haters on boise state...what happened to rooting for the underdogs, going against the system, etc. I guess everyone is worried that they might actually be legit and bust up this BCS thing.

Pure and simple the NCAA needs to introduce the playoff system to the FBS the same way all of the other collegiate sports have. I've never understood why it is okay for Div 2/3 to have a playoff but not Div 1. Its all about the bowls and $$$ I know. What I am talking about is the constant complaints from the schools about the stress on players and the longer season.

VT let me down last night. I am so over the Utah/Boise St/ TCU love fest from the media. Apparently Herbstreit has to get over his love of Tebow by drooling all over Boise St. I had to mute the TV last night. ughhh!

I guess the hopes hang on the shoulders of Oregon State in a couple of weeks against Boise State. If Oregon State can't pull it out, then we'll hear how they are so much more deserving over the BCS conference schools. I agree with Porter in that we'll see a HUGE amount of belly-aching if Boise runs the table and gets in over our 1 loss BAMA(if we fall somewhere along the way) in the title game. I would be right there screaming that they didn't play jack squat on their entire schedule. Now if Va. Tech goes and cashes it in the rest of the season and finishes 8-4 and Oregon State does likewise, they still may not get in.
