Not sure if this is the right place for this or not, but I thought football with Big Al, but if it's not if the Mods could move it I'd appreciate it.

I plan to take my kids to a game next year (this will be their first game) and just like every other kid their favorite part about the Tide is of course Big Al.
My son really likes him.

Where would the best place be to take him, so that he can see Big Al up close?

birmingham zoo? jk.. i think he is with the band on the quad about 2 hours before kickoff.. it's very close and personal.. i bet there is a chance for pics..

Big Al's Kids Club is only $25. They will get the opportunity to meet him on certain occasions, will get an autograph photo of him, and he will send them a birthday card on your son's birthday.

Also after the pep rally on the quad, the band will line up on the west side of the quad and marches into the stadium before the game. Big Al is on a golf cart named Rammer Jammer and leads the band in.

Big Al's "dressing room" is located in the Portal at field level in the SouthEast corner of the stadium. That is opposite of the end where the team enters and in the same end as where the students "sit". Children at the fence next to the field in that corner, calling out for Big Al, will stand the best chance of a quick meet-n-greet/photo op.

Be patient because there are obligations that Big Al has to meet, but aside from these being there makes you the easy thing for Big Al to address.

Also, let the cheerleaders know where you want. They work with Big Al and will help as they can, even if that is just steering the big guy your way.

The homerun strategy is to be there with a sign that reads "We Love Big Al". There is no way not to get some Big Al love with that move. Bring a SHARPIE and he can autograph it (serioulsy).
