🏈 Best Alabama Book

I've got to get a gift for my girlfriend's dad and I was thinking about getting him a book on Alabama. He's an Alabama fan, but not as into it as most of us. I was thinking about Rammer Jammer, but I was going to see if anyone else had some ideas. Thanks for the help.

There are a lot of good ones out there. One of my all time favorites, and I'm not sure if it is still in print, is "The Third Saturday in October" by the late Al Browning. It is a history of the Alabama-Tennessee rivalry, game by game. Eli Gold has a new one talking about his years broadcasting at Alabama. I've not read it, but its probably worth the trip to the book store just to skim through it. Jay Barker has a good one, and John Forney as well.

The best ones I've read so far are "Bear:The Legendary Life of Paul 'Bear' Bryant" by Don Keith. It's a novelization of Bear's life and awesome book. Also, Eli Gold's first book "Crimson Nation: The Shaping of the South's Most Dominant Football Team" is a great one. I haven't read his newest one tho.
