🏈 Bcs national championship pre-game thread!!!!

Man Lou Holtz is just running his mouth all about ND...Any time they talk about a positive about Alabama, he immediately shuts it downs and tries to sway it into an advantage for ND.....

Please win tonight Bama, I've got a weird feeling about this game....

Same here. I had trouble falling asleep last night because I was stressing about it haha. I just have a weird, 'off' feeling about the game.

I feel like this is a hard game for casual college football fans to enjoy. A lot of folks have not only SEC fatigue, but Alabama fatigue, and everyone but Domers hates Notre Dame, so I wonder who most are rooting for? I feel like it's ND since they are the story of the year after all. And I still have a bad feeling that the stadium is gonna be Irished out.

If the "casual college football fan" enjoys the no defense kind of football? Yes, I'm sure they'll be surfing around the channels tonight and coming back to the game.

"Irished out" stadium? Two reasons that doesn't concern me. One, how well we play in road environments and two, even if there is a predominantly Irish crowd that stadium isn't one that holds crowd noise.

I agree on that. Been to a Miami game when it was surprisingly sold out, 3/4ths of the crowd standing up yelling as loud as they can...nada....nothing....Only place that is a good home field advantage for a split stadium, that isn't a dome, is in Pasenda.

Good points, I forgot about the type of stadium. Plus, if they could go to Tiger Stadium this season with 100,000 screaming vengeful LSU fans and win (that game took a few years off of my life, I swear), I guess I shouldn't be too concerned about their playing ability tonight in regards to crowds :tennis:

I live in northeast Ohio, so I'm surrounded by Ohio State fans. OSU folk HATE ND, but everyone I've talked to, including my friends, are rooting for ND. They've all said they're tired of the SEC. Then entire country (save Alabama fans, of course), I'd wager, are pulling for ND for the same reason.

Here where I live people are tired of the SEC, but they hate ND more, so they're rooting for Alabama. But, there are several ND fans here too.

There are some bandwagon fans here too, saw a guy in the mall yesterday wearing a Alabama hoodie and while standing in line to get food in the food court I have him a 'Roll Tide' and he looked at me funny and said "Sure whatever you say", little bit later while eating this same dude comes up and asks me "WHat did you mean by Roll Tide?". I damn near choked on my food

I had a similar experience at my school. DC isn't exactly known for being big on college football, but around the time of the SEC championship, I saw a guy wearing an Alabama t-shirt (just a basic Nike one with the logo on it) and I gave him a big smile, a thumbs up, and said, "Roll tide!!!" and he looked at me like I was mentally challenged, then looked at his buddy, and laughed. I was so disheartened haha :icon_confused:

I have only seen Irish garb at all of the malls around here, which is equally disheartening!

ROLL TIDE!

The first Alabama game I ever saw was the Sugar Bowl game against ND in the early '70's. I was a young lad and liked Bama's uniforms plus Bear Bryant's hat. I became a Bama fan then. Hopefully The Tide does better tonight! Good luck!

Just wanted to say here's to a great game with no injuries. It's been fun to share (and disagree with) our opinions. I don't think Hollywood could come up with a better script then the Irish & Tide for the NC.

GO IRISH!
