🏀 GAME THREAD 🏀 SEC / NCAA Games of the Week: --

Kentucky has gone on a five-game winning streak.
I was looking at Purdue a little following their loss. That's back to back by 6 today and 2 earlier this week. They are 7-2 and every win has been by single digits: four here, six there. A convincing win to start the season against Wisconsin, but close games since.

I've been waiting for UF to make their run. AU has shown some nice defense today against a hapless Gator team.

That game was wild. Wagler had 46 and seemed to take every body shot Purdue threw at them. Think there was nearly 10 lead changes. Illinois probably should have lost with how many points they left at the FT line.

Illinois can definitely make the FF.

UF has been solid since that Mizzou lost but they are stale as fuck today. Some of it has been decent defense by auburn, but lot of missed open looks from Florida. Kind of been their issue all season.

Purdue gets a breather with Maryland mid-week...they had 40+ dropped on them today.
In the back of my mind I had given the Boilermakers a pass for last night's game against IU. I was seeing a 7-2 Purdue team taking on an IU team that was 4-5 in conference play. Surely they wouldn't drop three...

Purdue- 67
Indiana- 72

Three L's in a row ... but they get a breather with Maryland mid-week. 🙃

Purdue has had a bad month. Lost three in a row, and watched your arch rival win a title. Ouch.

The TN v UGA game is of note tonight. UT is currently in 4th place. A loss in Athens will drop them to 6th, but more importantly push Bama back up in the top four in the SEC race.

If UGA can get two of those "killer runs" as they've been prone to do they can get a W here. But good lord, look at the advantage UT has on the boards! UGA has to create TO's. (Torvik has his spread at less than a point favoring UT.)

And this is proving to be true tonight. Believe I saw that TN has a 45-26 advantage on the boards. Somehow they're only up 74-72 with 11 seconds left though.

Michigan-Michigan State on right now. Great atmosphere but not a good game so far. Seems like Michigan is a lot more fluid on offense and able to push the ball upcourt with relative ease. Defensively, they're locking up the Spartans.
