🏀 🏀 SEC Men's Tournament: Tide falls in semi-finals to Florida

Yep remember Bama Basketball in the 80's right around time I graduated high school so I would have guessed that timeframe for last time Bama had beaten UK in the SEC tournament. Bama football was getting into the post Bear years and Wimp was in the early years of his tenure as head basketball coach after 20+ years as an assistant. Wimp was able to find a different gear at SEC tournament time. Wimp's teams won the SEC tournament something like 5 times in a little over a decade as head coach.

Back to this year, going to be an extremely challenging game today. Bama owes UF but the gators are a realy good team.

I can't remember a time when we saw the top four seeds all in the semi's. Friday, last season, saw upsets.

KP puts UK's chances of a win right under 70 percent...ESPN has it just over fifty percent.

The wild thing about this Saturday is we're going to see four teams where any of them could win with SECT...and this same group of four ... any of them can win the whole thing.

The Sparty game today is worth keeping an eye on ...

Last night Philon was a phenom! and beating the cats 3 times in the year was priceless.
Have not researched it but I am curious if it had ever been done before this?

Had a friend from Kentucky send me a text right before the game started. Nothing boastful just asking if I was getting ready to watch the game. The UK fans I know expect to win just as us Bama football fans do but they know this is Popes first year like some of us knew it was CKDs first year and tempered expectations. All of those UK fans I know are happy that Coach Cal is gone.

Georgetown should be knocking on his door. IU isn't as a good of a fit, in my view. But geez...give him that talent from that region.
I wonder how long Georgetown will hold onto Kooley. He didn't have a bad tenure at Providence, but only made it to the second weekend once.

I don't know how long Hogdson will be at Arkansas State. Figured if he made the tournament this season, programs would line up to hire him. His recruiting alone makes him a hot commodity.

We may end up losing this gane, but that Auburn win has definitely sparked us back to life and us playing at the level we all were hoping. Even if we lose, I like how we are playing and the confidence we exude. The moment does not look too big for us and we look jacked up.
