Heh, glad you saw the sarcasm.May as well. Would serve some fans well for this program to go back to being a perennial SEC bottom feeder that's rewarded with the "bubble" tag once a decade.
True. But. Still. Florida may be that good. Sears gotta shoot better. Philon not scoring. What the hell.Cliff sucked today and Sherrill is still a baby giraffe/elephant. Our guards average 5’11 155lbs. We could win 3 games in tournament, no more.
Its bama bball. We are use to itIt’s.not.the.end.of.the.world.
Damn, guess Oats is above criticism.
I hope to god he doesn't care what a message board says.Nope, criticize him all you wish... I don't care. I'll assure you he doesn't either.
I don’t think he’s above criticism, but he’s still a damn good coach and IMO the best we’ve seen at Bama…ever.Damn, guess Oats is above criticism.
We have had really good coaches just not the 20-30 years prior to Oats. CM Netwon and Wimp had really good "tough" teams. Defense and effort were preached under them which is a lot different than Oats. I know he talks and even believes in blue collar but does he know how to mix the two? The UF coach knows how to put both on the court.I don’t think he’s above criticism, but he’s still a damn good coach and IMO the best we’ve seen at Bama…ever.
I have adamant on this board that I want Oats to have a lifetime contract. I've also said Golden and Florida have the best team in the country this season. That said, I don't think this team or Oats are above being critiqued. We were obviously capable of playing with them based on the 1st half alone. Then Florida opened the second half getting four offensive rebounds on one possession and that literally epitomized what would be the rest of the game. And with a team full of talented veterans you expect better play. Only Youngblood was out there being a leader. Sears, Philon, Cliff, Stevenson, and Sherrell straight up quit after Florida went up 13. Oats refused to call a timeout after the momentum took a massive shift in their favor. It's not saying "fuck Oats, fire him!". It's literally just pointing out the flaws.Nope, criticize him all you wish... I don't care. I'll assure you he doesn't either.
I understand every bit of that. I repeatedly defend him and state we need to lock him up for the future. But I also do wish there were certain areas of his coaching he would tweak.I don’t think he’s above criticism, but he’s still a damn good coach and IMO the best we’ve seen at Bama…ever.
If he is going to get to where he wants to get to he will have to learn and adjust. What he is doing will keep him in the upper echelon but just outsdie looking in. Hope they still find a different gear in the tournament like they did last year. They are going to need to, More importantly right now is health of Nelson and even Sears.I understand every bit of that. I repeatedly defend him and state we need to lock him up for the future. But I also do wish there were certain areas of his coaching he would tweak.
I remember when we hoped to make the NIT.It’s.not.the.end.of.the.world.

Any word on Nelson?Let’s just hope Nelson can get healthy. When he went down, you could see the wind sort of go out of our sails. Rest up and let’s go on a run fellas.
