Not sure what it'll be but I love that the basketball program does stuff like this.
I bet there is a push to do it for the football program, but what really could they do other than white helmets? I don't know. I feel like Alabama Football doesn't really need to showcase stuff like this because the program markets itself. Whereas the basketball program doesn't necessarily have to either, but it's a good move to capitalize on new program success and seems fun for the players.

Beside the white helmet, because that was done with Coach Bryant. I think it was the houndstooth pattern. One thing I do like is no retired jersey. If Bama retired any jersey we would have to start using the alphabet.
Perkins used white helmets. With most of the rest on here.l.. just be bama ...crimson is fine
A great way to advertise to the nation how many great players our program has produced would be to gradually replace retired numbers with Roman numerals for newer players! Offering recruits/players a better chance at immortality in addition to NIL money could be a cool recruiting strategy, haha.

, but with colors reversed: white helmet, crimson stripe, crimson script A. And by removing the numbers from the helmet, add numbers back to the shoulders.

Listen, I’ve never really wanted a change in our unis. Like everyone here, our simplicity and lack of alterations over our history is a part of our football identity. It speaks legacy, loud and clear. So I respect that. But … maybe for hot, day games or a novel change of pace, I’d love to see the white helmet with crimson script A paired with the crimson jersey. I DON’T want the white helmet with white jersey, though. That would be too bland, like Stanford’s away unis. 
Oh maybe! My bad. But to see Roman numerals on jerseys on the field is more of what I’m saying. Broadcast to TV viewers, not just preaching to the converted or to visiting fans at home games.
I think we should do Silver helmets with the elephant A logo and silver pants. Also start putting houndstooth hat stickers on the back of helmets for good plays - grade outs. Also, the band should do the script A before the game and have a famous Alabama Alum jog out to be the Top of the A. Instead of saying "Roll Tide " to other Bama fans as we see them ... fan one should shout "B" "A" and fan two should respond... "M" "A". One last thing, Deboer should grow out his beard and dye it black.
I think a cool paint job with houndstooth hidden in it could be cool, or something as small as a white number with ivory white houndstooth pattern within the number would be cool and subtle. Overall I'm fine with our uniforms.
How does the script A make it cooler? They have plenty of fans, ice blowers, water, Gatorade and shade covers on the sideline to keep them cool. I love a good uniform thread. A rare throwback to white helmets for a game every once and awhile would be nice. A complete uniform throwback one year against a team like Tennessee where the field and even the cheerleaders match the theme would be cool as well. And if done right, they would be able to make some money off of it.
You didn’t know that the script A creates a force field around each Bama player to repel unwanted heat?? I assumed that was common knowledge. Yea, players can then individually adjust the temperature inside their protected bubble. They’re still working out the kinks of the humidity controls.
I was actually referring to the whiteness of the white helmets.
One of the times Perky Jerky had us in white helmets, we lost to Ga Tech and that was enough for me. If your really want throwback, lets bring out the leather helmets and sweaters.
Seriously though, I love our unis and I think the road white's are even crisp and cool looking. I want nothing to do do with houndstooth on the uniform. They did the collar that way once and I thought it looked odd. The one thing I could see as cool as a one off is the helmets with the metallic (not bass boat fleck either) helmets with silver face guards which distinguishes us from OU anyway. Silver numerals on the helmet but hell no to silver pants. That's a leg humper thing.
