Load management (which I'm ok with if handled differently). This is Oats betting they can win without him. If this was a game vs. TN tonight, he'd be playing and never listed on the report most likely. But, Oats does a terrible job of giving other teams an edge with how he handles this stuff... We are good enough to beat you without our best player so we will just sit him tonight and let him rest... How about keeping it locked down, don't let shit leak to the media, and MSU will find out he isn't playing when he doesn't start?

Understand his inconsistencies but players have career games against Bama and as you know that has happened enough to not be a coincedence.

Him mouthing off about Vandy before we played them kind of irked me. No need to give the other team ammo. But he's a really good HC that knows how to run a program way more than any of us, so can't fault him. But yeah, sometimes you'd wish he'd be just a tad bit more reserved.

It definitely can happen - especially against a Brian Adams-led defense. He did it last year vs us. I think they put Jemison and Allen on him to mitigate his threat from 3.

Yep. And I don't think he really means to do it, like some. Like a Spurrier would for example. He just has no filter and he's confidence flows freely. And like you said, with Vandy for insance, teams take the words and sometimes twist them, sometimes not, and use them for extra motivation. It's all so unnecessary.
