Baseball in general, my lmrwal love, is so obtuse it's unreal. Hall of Fame voters, college rankings, awards, it's all the most wide ranging set of responses one could get. Baseball is more objective than any sport in the world, and it drives me nuts.

Not that it matters, but if anyone is actually wondering why the spread... the 64Analytics Poll that has Bama #7, well the answer lies in the title of the poll. It's based off analytics and until more games (i.e. data) roll in, things will be wonky with some teams. Baseball America and D1 Baseball have Bama just 1 spot apart, 16th and 17th (not 27th). IMO, it's too early to pay much attention to the polls, but out of all of them, it seems D1baseball is usually the most accurate from what I can tell...
