Remember how we all (well, most of us anyway) agreed that Auburn got jobbed in 2004 after going undefeated? We may intensely dislike them, but we at least give 'em props when they deserve it.

That petition is ludicrous.

I've communicated with Deceks for at least four years now, maybe going on five or six. He's always impressed me as a very level headed individual.

So, seeing this comes as a shock to me. Seriously. It just seems so, so much out of character for him.

He's a member here. I've shot him a note and asked him to drop by and explain his reasoning behind that post on tigerforums. I hope he considers it and then stops by for a bit.

That petition is ludicrous.

I was not one. The cards didn't fall their way—their schedule certainly didn't help.

But, that year does give a foundation for a plus-one system to be put in place—moreso than last year if you ask me.

The only thing that I can attribute that to is Alabama's program state now relative to the last 10 years. In three short years we have gone from being little more than a punching bag to what they feared most.....the old Alabama. Da' Barners are in real fear of Barfielditis.

Think about how Auburn and LSU fans feel right about now. They had a decade worths of running around in charge while Daddy was gone. And now Daddy's back!

Well, last year's 12-0 and 36-0 beatdown sowed the seeds for that old hatred to come back again. I mean, let's get real: they, LSU, Auburn, Tennessee, everyone, loved it when the NCAA hammered us. They saw it as the ultimate takedown of their most hated enemy. For proud Bama fans, it certainly was and continued to be humbling.

Finally, UA got it right and decided that they needed a real driver for a Formula 1 sports car. So they hired Saban, and the hand wringing in the butt-crack we call Lee County began. Last year's beatdown was HUMILIATING. Hiring Chizik was not the ego boost the Auburn folks wanted, though I like the guy and think he might build them back really quick. In fact, I think we are going to have to play very well to beat them in a couple weeks.

But this years' 9-0 start, likely to be 11-0 by the time we get to them is the icing on the cake. It now appears we are not only dominant, but in line to add to our trophy case. This is DEVASTATING for Auburn and their fair weather fans.

Don't think they are fair weather, at least a whole bunch of them? Well, then let's just say the Old Car Flag Thief has been working hard on some orange and blue this season and last in the Birmingham area.
