Strong is the new coach at Texas, according to the Dallas Morning News.

That didn't fall through, did it?

I won't call you dumb, riz, just blind. :chat2_nana:

The offense at USC went up two points per game under Orgeron. Two points. That's not an explosion. That two points per is largely boosted by scoring 60 over a one win Cal team and close to 50 over a four win Colorado team.

Much like Malzahn at Auburn, Orgeron brought a new mentality to that team that translated to W's.

IT EXPLODED FOR ONE GAME DAMMIT DON'T RAIN ON MY PARADE!!!

Remember what CNS said during the MNC game.

"... I mean we were inside the 20 three times in our game in the fourth quarter with a 28-21 lead and didn't score a point, so that's what they've been able to do to make them effective. They play in a system. They don't make a lot of mistakes, but when they get an opportunity, they take advantage of it."

A bit telling isn't it. Some guy on this board keeps suggesting that if you listen to CNS, he tells the story.

Very interesting thread. I was surprised at how many of them think that Kiffin would kill it in recruiting and be an excellent OC for Saban. Many actually wishing him well. I just know he has a mouth on him. Saban knows what he's doing. Kiffin will have to subordinate and keep his mouth shut, learn from the master, and all would be well. We'll see...

My thought is that if Lame Kiffin gets hired, Bama should pay his yearly salary in arrear. If you keep your mouth shut and refrain from embarrassing the university in any way then you'll get a paycheck.
Keeping him out of the media will be like keeping mike price out of the strip clubs.

Got a call from a friend in Pineville, LA decrying the idea of Kiffin going to Bama (or as he said, back in the SEC). Seems a lot of non-Bama folks don't like the idea. My question to them is, if it's such a bad hire for Bama, why aren't these other people jumping for joy?

I just think a lot of SEC fans sincerely can't stand the guy, and don't want to have to hear his name all the time.
Most of the people I've seen on Facebook from the other school are laughing at the idea and I'm sure, pulling for it.

Most of the Tennessee fans I know are laughing that Lame Kitten would even be in Bama's radar. Most of what I'm hearing is "Hire him. We need to have a chance, and your program will fall sooner with him around." I have no reason to believe they're not right.

Rome fell from within.

OK, tell me why they are right, Chief.

I work with a Georgia fan who is begging us to hire Bobo for the same reason.
