Anyone going to this game? Thinking of riding over from Cherokee, North Carolina to check it out and get a little gambling in for the weekend.

I can't believe that's the game CBS picked. A bunch of teams must have a bye week.
It's a choice of whether or not they want to show LSU later on in the season due to the limit of times a team can be on CBS. LSU would be the other "game of the week." Figure if LSU plays A&M on CBS that'll be their fourth.

i'd almost be willing to bet that if both BAMA and lsu stayed undefeated through to their game together...cbs would be salivating at that prime-time matchup. and you just KNOW it's gonna be a night game down there...lsu don't play during the day at their house.

lsu don't play during the day at their house.
They're playing in the afternoon this upcoming weekend. In fact, their two games televised this season on CBS were both day games.

Now, if we're talking about using the word "play" as in how well they compete? Yes, you're right. They don't play on Saturday afternoons. History reflects such.

Kinda tough when CBS feels compelled to select GA/Tenn and Bama/Tenn in the same calendar year. At the time, Tenn was a 35 point dog to the dawgs. There really isn't much going on that weekend, so I get it, but Tenn is probably dreading the primetime matchup again.

first....:rolf: to their "play" comment

second....i had NO idea that they will have played 2 days games in their house. to me, that's pretty rare. they've been generally known to always play night games there 'cause they think they're better at night (or so i've been told and heard on more than one occasion).

@sk33tr, My point was if they were chosen this weekend it would be the third time this season for an afternoon game--Florida and Auburn were both afternoon kicks. I don't know if your fingers got tied up with your thoughts in that last sentence or I didn't do a good enough job of making the point they've already been down that road this season.

I just love that the game will be on primetime so the nation can bear witness to 'Bama extending the win streak to the unprecedented 12 game win streak.... Karma's a bitch UT.
