The Paul W. Bryant Museum posted this yesterday. Amazing footage and music.
"This film was donated by Martha Cook and was shot by Dr. J. Henry Goode. 1939 The University arrives back home at the Tuscaloosa Train Station after playing Fordham in New York. The Tide defeated Fordham by a score of 7 to 6. The next Saturday ( Oct. 14, 1939 ) Alabama took on Mercer at Denny Stadium ( as you will see ) and defeated Mercer 20-0. We hope you enjoy seeing this footage from over 78 years ago."
Game footage starts around 1:40, but the whole thing is really worth a watch. Listen with sound.
