16-14 record. Man, I had hopes for better this year. Maybe next year! 18-16 last year so we treaded water. 8-10 each of the previous 2 seasons in SEC play. We need 1 win in the SEC tourney to break that cycle.

Went back and forth for too long til Bama went six minutes without a FG and Vandy kept hitting shots. Bama couldn't defend Saben Lee. Beetle Bolden couldn't do it all by himself.

Just got outshot. Wasn't meant to be. We still scored 79 points, but Vanderbilt was 55% from three. Reese hurt us with a terrible shooting game, but the rest of the team left it up to our three scorers to do most of the damage. Less turnovers thannormal, similar rebounding, fewer fouls, just got outshot from three. Just an unfortunate way to bust your bubble.

From a coaching standpoint you can't let one player beat you. I saw no adjustments to stop Lee. He scored 38.

Coach was mic'd up last night and they caught him during a TO, call it like it is. He was in someone's ass about being "soft as shit and just being concerned about their own self!" The culture of "me!" has been resonating through that lockerroom through several coaching changes. You can't change the mindset in one year.

When Avery was here it was hard to watch because of how bad the offense was most of the time. Now, it's hard to watch with how bad defense is. At least the games are entertaining now I guess... Gonna be an uphill climb for Oates I think. Talent just isn't there.

@BamaBoyJosh last night was just hard to watch. The first half was horrible, just going through the motions. In the second half we did play better on the offensive end but our defensive effort was in another state. 16-14 and we are headed to the NIT once again.

He is not ready for the NBA needs another year of maturation both physically and mentally. JMO.

He could be SEC Player of the Year. He has scored on everyone, played on the U18 team, and has shown his speed and ability to get to the rim against other NBA lottery picks, he's ready. I see no difference in his game this year or Colin Sexton's when he left. Probably even more under control than Colin.

All that being said, I hope he stays. The program would springboard forward with one more year with Kira. Be just like getting Najee, Moses, Leatherwood, and DaVonta back. Just would be a building block for the whole program.

I would agree with this, but who will be in his ear telling him to make the jump is the bigger issue. I would expect Oats to be telling him to pump the brakes and stay. Latest mock draft doesn't have him listed.
