Does Bama have a standing policy that they do not retire jersey #s? I'm unaware of any retired numbers, are there any?

I've never heard of any numbers being retired by the Crimson Tide.

Never have retired a number...and plenty of opportunities to do so.

It's more of an honor to wear a number than retire one...take #54 as example.

or #22 and you could go on with other numbers too.

If they retired jersey numbers, they would definitely retire #12 because of Joe Namath.

I can't imagine that with a 105 player team that they ever would. They'd be missing quite a few numbers. 12 first & foremost. 54 was always my favorite though.

Yeah #12 maybe for a few more reasons than just Joe Namath... hahah

Alabama doesn't have enough jersey numbers as it is. Trent Richardson and Vinnie Sunseri are 3. Mark Barron and Marquis Maze are 4. I'm sure there are other numbers being worn by two guys.

I would think #55 would be a good one to retire.
