He reminds me of a parent who tries to be more of a friend than a parent when dealing with their children. A good majority of what he does seems to be with the fan base in mind--not the overall health of the program. Are you familiar with the cliche', "The three rules of plumbing?" This is similar, in my eyes, expect the shit rolls uphill making those in charge step very carefully for fear of fan revolt. It makes sense considering how they turn on 17 year old kids and their families.
IE: Remember when they finished the expansion on their football stadium? Even then, it was about "where Bama fans will sit" and not promoting the growth in the program.
