Nothing shortens an offseason like a national championship. I do a lot of business in the Lagrange and surrounding Georgia area. This has been like being on parade every day. Does that make me a bad person?

My wife is all of a sudden eager for A-Day to get here. Oh that's right, she just wants to drive from Madison, Georgia to go to the Whataburger that opened up.

That is kinda AU area, not that that takes away from any enjoyment. Spent a summer in LaGrange, when I was in elementary school. My brother was a teacher and coach at LaGrange. He coached Vince Sutton in track the year before that summer. Met the guy before he signed with Bama. I doubt I had much effect on his decision. Especially hated to see the news of his passing. I am only 5 years younger than he was when he passed. Damn, I am getting up there.

Lagrange has been pretty good to the Tide over the decades. It's more Reuben Foster's home than Auburn. And we just pulled King Mwikuta at LB for the 2019 class. I hated to hear that about Sutton too. A friend of mine finally found a kidney donor after years of dialysis and being on the waiting list. Even though he has to load up on anti-rejection type drugs every day he has a much better quality of life.

Might could buy you all a beer but I would have to pass. I am only allowed one beer per day and that is just a tease. I am a Type I diabetic, been one since age 9, 46 now. I have retinopathy, which means no drinking. I also have a DVT in my left leg, thanks to a side effect of another medicine a doctor gave me. to try and help with the bouts of vertigo. I have adhesive capsulitis(frozen shoulder) in my right arm/shoulder. Have had a minor heart attack, even though I eat a pretty good diet, decent cholesterol numbers and no blockages in my major vessels(until the DVT). Developing neuropathy in my feet, mostly due to the DVT. Yep, getting older sucks.

There's a handful in the Bham metro area, including Chelsea, been there for several years. There's even one in Clanton. My Texas buddies in Atlanta crave the stuff.
