That's tied for 5th all-time. #19 puts her in a three-way tie for 3rd. (25 for a season, Kretschman in '98.) I looked at her RBI numbers a few weeks ago wondering how they'd play out. She's at 59 to date, one more puts her in a tie for top ten, with 80 in reach.

I'm not trying to defend Murphy, BUT I do know from experience that it is hard to empty a bench fast enough when a game "snowballs" like this one did. I always tried to get my starters AT LEAST 2 at bats so as to keep them primed and ready for an upcoming series or important game. I wanted them swinging it well and taking a walk or an HBP didn't help either of us. For example, Reagan Dykes had 2 BBs in 3 her 3 trips to the plate.

Looked like they were worn out in the last two games. Couldn't even hit the first game pitcher in relief.
