University of Alabama self-reports 22 minor NCAA violations

Some of these are so petty!

Two of note in my eyes:

-- Summary: Current student-athlete sold multiple pieces of institutional issued items and participation awards.

Corrective actions taken: 1. Withheld student-athlete from the first four contests of the 2016 season (30% withholding). 2. Required student-athlete to repay $820 to a charity of his choice. 3. Continue to provide rules education to all student-athletes regarding extra benefits and items received for participation.

The way it reads versus the way it is. I'd think the way this is worded it would imply these items were UA items. But, in today's age of holding back as much as possible, I suppose it could be from another school. That said, I wouldn't jump to conclusions and think "it's Bo." He wasn't the only player suspended for multiple games last season.

I don't care for the way this reads as well.

-- Summary: Assistant coach engaged in impermissible off-campus contact with prospect.

Corrective actions taken: 1. Letter of admonishment to involved staff member. 2. Rules education provided to staff member. 3. 30 day prohibition of off-campus recruiting activity for involved staff member. 4. One-game suspension for involved staff member.

Again, the way it reads...suspended for a game last season is how I'm interpreting this.
