🏈 Bama players a bust in the NFL?

Funny how part of this article goes hand in hand what Coach Saban has said about the season being too long. I'm not saying the guy knows everything, but people are always giving him a hard time because he comes across as a hardass, but the guy knows business and football, so folks should listen. I don't know if I've ever heard a story of a professional athlete ever having a pain free retirement. That level, and even the college level take tolls on your body and it gets beat up. Sometimes you can only take it so far. Hell, my body still aches from high school ball and my willingness at 100 pounds to stick my nose in there with the big boys during drills and the concussions I received during games throughout my four years.

So the longer the tenure at Alabama the more the numbers prove Saban's way is as good as any. To be fair to the coach, wonder why his recruits at LSU and Michigan State have not been a part of this ongoing attrition study as well?

I think it all ties in with the #1 recruiting classes since CNS has been here. The national media love to pound that idea into the world's heads, talk about all of the success, point to the draft and then want to laugh when one or two fail and call them all busts!

NFL busts happen all the time. No college football program can avoid this, especially considering that the player has left the program.

To correlate that to success/failure to the college team is ridiculous for so many reasons. Even if the data shows that 'Bama doesn't have as high a ratio of busts as predicted. The problem is how the data is presented...as usual, when someone has an agenda. An example would be how many busts 'Bama had since CNS arrived compared to XYZ school. However, leaving out the fact of how many total 1st round drafts 'Bama had during that same time compared to XYZ school.

Makes all the sense in the world. Jealousy and envy have constituted a world full of hate and contentiousness at every level of society.

^Trent was just a man amongst boys in HS and to a lesser extent at Bama. He also ran behind the best OL of the Saban era. He never had to develop any field vision, as he could run through tackles. Not the case at the top level. If he ever could have figured that out, he would be a potential 1st ballot NFL HOFer.
