Any of these guys on commitment watch?

Not many local boys but Coynis Miller seems like he'd be a great pick up. Not overly aggressive yet at the LOS, but that kid is freakishly fast at 6'3 290 lbs. Seems like a perfect fit at 3-4 DE and/or 4-3 DT.

Not suprisingly, Tua's little brother is the talk of high school football here. He has one of OL (Kight) in camp with him. He has another, Mackie McNeal, who is getting a good look from the barn. Thompson has been at the bottom of its area for years and years has made a move the last couple of years and is poised to have a big year this year.

They hired an excellent coach a few years ago who had been winning big in Spanish Fort Coach Freeman. The city has a ridiculous tax base and in my opinion will be the new "Hoover" type of program in our state.

This won't be a 1 year type of success. We need to get in there and develop a good relationship because they are going to pump out talent.

Junior College DL Caleb Tremblay earns Crimson Tide offer.

Caleb Tremblay, junior college defensive tackle American River Community College in Sacramento, California, returned from his visit to Tuscaloosa. Tremblay is a fresh name on Alabama's recruiting board after a great performance in front of the coaching staff.

"It was my first time to Alabama," said Tremblay. "It was an unofficial visit. I arrived on Friday. The camp was on Saturday. I left on Sunday. I didn't go to the school on Sunday. I was just there on Friday and Saturday.

"The first day I toured everything. I saw all the athletic facilities. I saw the campus on the golf cart. It was super nice."

The next day was a little more fast-paced as he met with the Tide's head coach and hit the field.

"Saturday, I met with the head coach, Coach Saban," he said. "I talked to him for a little bit. I did a little work-out. They wanted to see how I moved. They wanted to see if my ability was matching my highlight tape and see if I could pass rush, see if I could move.

"Being down there you can see why they are so good. They have everything set up. It's really exciting. It was exciting to get the offer from them."

Tremblay, originally from Vintage High School in Napa, California, decided to take a year off after graduating from high school. He later enrolled at American River Community College. He has earned 15 offers and will graduate in December.

The 6-foot-5, 276-pound lineman has visited Alabama and Cal. He will visit Colorado and Washington. Bremlay isn't ready to reveal favorites, but visits are usually an indicator of schools of interest.

"I really like them," Bremlay said of the Crimson Tide. "I can't say where they are in terms of favorites on my list, but I really like it there.

"I like the people who are around the facilities. Everyone who works around the University of Alabama are really great people. I felt really welcomed over there. The facilities are awesome. The coaches are great."

Tremblay's football schedule will make it tough to set up official visits in the fall. He will knock out the visits at some point, and enroll at the school of his choice in January.

To add to this conversation, read where Tyrone Prothro is now on the coaching staff at Spanish Fort. I know nothing about the program and coach, but after some comments on here and with the addition of a talented Alabama alumni it does appear they are fortifying a nice staff and program over there.

I've heard about the booster group at Hoover and the amounts they kick in for the football program. Big money donations for high school. You think SF is going to be in their league?

I was referring to Thompson High school and yes there is alot of money in Alabaster too. Shelby county in the wealthiest county in our state by far and only parts of Hoover are in Shelby.

Our new athletic complex is going to be ridiculously stupid big! I'm looking forward to seeing a lot of great changes. New soccer field and a new track that can be used to host events (can't do that on asphalt track).
