šŸˆ Bama looking at RB who couldn't enroll at Wisconsin

Interesting, he's a South Dallas kid, part of the Dallas ISD which is a flipping mess. Sounds like he met NCAA standards just not Wisconsin's standards.

Wondering if ex-HC Gary Anderson would have found a way to get him into school...doubt it.

Stevenson leaves the Lone Star State on Saturday evening and will be in Lincoln till Monday.

The one-time Wisconsin signee is considering just the Huskers and Alabama. Stevenson told Bartow that he’ll likely take an official to Tuscaloosa.

Stevenson added he favors Nebraska and his mother favors the Crimson Tide.

So we're in his apparent final two and should be getting a visit and mom's favorite. That looks lie good shape. Hopefully we're his favorite too after the visit.

Seen something online that suggest he had a 2.4 gpa and 22 on his ACT (not confirmed). Going to Nebraska seems to indicate he's still pressing for a Big Ten opportunity vs a school with warmer weather. Doesn't add up to me you'd want to play at Nebraska.

NCAA uses a sliding scale, see link http://fs.ncaa.org/Docs/eligibility_center/Quick_Reference_Sheet.pdf

Wisconsin's doesn't technically have a minimum, via http://uwhelp.wisconsin.edu/admissions/freshman/guidelines.aspx (image below)

Nebraska's here, http://admissions.unl.edu/apply.aspx#admission-requirements/freshmen

You are guaranteed admission if you meet the core course requirements and at least one performance requirement. If you don't meet these requirements, we strongly encourage you to apply anyways—your admission will be determined by a committee appointed by the Director of Admissions and your complete academic profile will be considered.

PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS
Freshmen applicants should:
      • Score 20 or higher on the ACT, writing portion not required.
      • Or, score a total of 950 or higher on the SAT Critical Reading and Math sections.
      • Or, rank in the top half or their high school graduating class.
      • All freshman applicants under the age of 23 are required to submit an official ACT or SAT score.
CORE COURSE REQUIREMENTS
There are 16 units of academic courses required for admission.

A unit is one year of high school study or a semester/quarter of college coursework.

On a serious note, whiskey has had some quality RBs over the last few years and they seem to fit the Saban/Burns mold (HWMI, MFBATR, CBEL, TJ, King Henry). I would think that the Badgers #1 RB target would be legit.

Not sure that's Riley's philosophy, definitely wasn't Andersens.

Agree with the overall concept though. But they'll burn out a RB (see Montee's number of carries as an example)

Maybe that's why he's looking at Nebraska. Because he's a blubbering vagina that can't deal with the pressure of running against a team that didn't want him in a game played in his home town. That's a lot of pressure. If so, I hope he's a husker by week's end.
Or, and just stay with me for a second here, it could be, and I'm only guessing, that maybe, just maybe, he's simply weighing his options and looking around so that he feels more comfortable knowing he made the right decision.

Heck just get him here. You can never have to many good RB's. Plus the other one weighed 155. Really! You think he will be able to break arm tackles. I don't think so. I will take a 4 star RB. He will help out with depth .

Please do not bring thought and reason into the discussion

I think the selling points for us that Napier has probably told him are,1) Drake is a Sr and will often be seen split out wide, 2) Henry is a Jr and is more than likely gone in Jan for the NFL, and finally 3) Ronnie Clark is a converted DB and Damien Harris is a true Fr just on campus. Carries are here to be had this Fall.
