🏈 Bama looking at RB who couldn't enroll at Wisconsin

I think the selling points for us that Napier has probably told him are,1) Drake is a Sr and will often be seen split out wide, 2) Henry is a Jr and is more than likely gone in Jan for the NFL, and finally 3) Ronnie Clark is a converted DB and Damien Harris is a true Fr just on campus. Carries are here to be had this Fall.
And for next year... If Drake and Henry are gone, that is a lot of playing time for next year, and if BoScar is here for 2 years, then that is a lot of competition for the top back afterwards, and not to mention we run 3 backs at the least each season.

Would be a nice addition! Nebraska has a nice selling point with Abdullah's recent production.. Might be a tough battle.

Was it ever confirmed that the little RB Marks is on track or football scholarship? I know BOL originally said track, then his dad said football.

Looking forward to exploring the new site! I've been out of the game for a minute! Good to see some familiar screen names

If he plays both, he automatically counts against football.

Wow I was not aware that UW had those requirements for admission. I assume they have significantly less stringent ones for athletes, but for general students, that's pretty stout. Hell at Bama that automatically give you half tuition if you have a 27 on your ACT. Up there, that's the damn entrance requirement.

Well speak of the devil, I got a text,

Word is he may not get into Nebraska under the same issue as Wisconsin. He is leaning Nebraska (Told staff this upfront) and His mom is UA strong. Staff source feels confident if Nebraska doesn't admit we get him over other 3 SEC Schools. He still feels confident we get him when he comes to T-town with Moma. MTF.

What's the story with Miami? If not Alabama, this kid is better off at Nebraska. I read something about his mom traveling to Miami weekly for business and that being a factor of why she may want him there. I've not read any reasons why Jordan himself would want to choose Miami.

Some national analysts still favor Nebraska in this race, others have switched to Miami.

I'll ask the obvious question, what if she isn't travelling to Miami in 6 months. My vote would be going with a proven RB coach (underpaid one at that), Burton Burns.

A little concerned over our RB situation (depth) this year, more so next year. Bo has had, what, three ACL tears? I have to be wondering about his durability. I'm sure a number three will emerge this year like they always do, but until then it's just speculation.

RTR,

Tim

I look at Bo Scarborough this way; he must be one hell of a talent to have torn an ACL twice in high school and STILL considered the #1 athlete in his recruiting cycle and maintaining a fifth star by all recruiting services. I don't think I can recall ever seeing or remembering a story like that. Of course you want to think about the guy's future health with three ACL tears, but apparently he is capable of fighting back and competing at a high level. Hopefully he'll work hard at an education while he has the opportunity in case football doesn't pan out due to injuries.

Stevenson commits to Nebraska

Nebraska added a huge commitment for its 2015 class by landing four-star running back Jordan Stevenson of South Oak Cliff (Texas) on Thursday.

Stevenson, who is ranked the No. 27 running back in his class and the No. 34 player in the state of Texas, made the announcement on his Twitter account.

A former Wisconsin commit, Stevenson was denied admission by UW and reopened his recruitment earlier this week. He officially visited Nebraska and Miami and was potentially going to visit Alabama as well before making his decision.

Jordan Stevenson is a Husker. The 5-foot-9 and 188-pound running back with 4.4/40 speed from Dallas (Texas) South Oak Cliff had been considering both Nebraska and Miami. The decision was supposed to come by week's end, but Stevenson announced his commitment via his Twitter account Thursday afternoon that he was a Husker.

"Basically it came down to the education and the athletics and where I can be successful with both," Stevenson said. "I didn't really consider the offense or how I will be used in the offense. I feel like I can be successful in any offense and really I just wanted to focus on the academics and overall success."

There were some members of the new coaching staff under Mike Riley at Nebraska who Stevenson was familiar with. Both coaches Brian Stewart and Trent Bray had recruited Stevenson before coming to Nebraska to work with Riley. Stevenson admits that it helped he had some familiar people who he had a comfort level with reaching back out to him and wanting to help him.

"That helped. When I needed a shoulder to lean on because I was going through a tough situation the Nebraska staff reached out to me. They wanted to let me know that I had a place where I can go and have success and that was a good fit. That really helped to know some coaches from earlier in the process."

There is little time for Stevenson to enjoy the commitment because he is set to be in Lincoln, Nebraska Friday.

Stevenson said that he's not excited about just one thing or a couple of things when it comes to beginning his career as a Husker. Ultimately he knows that this is the start to him securing his future and having success.

"I actually leave for Nebraska tomorrow," Stevenson said. "I am excited about getting to work and doing what's best for me in the classroom and on the football field."

Good for him for wanting more academics. Odd to me that his mom hasn't moved him to another part of the DFW metroplex to give him better academics. South Oak Cliff or the entire DISD isn't known for academics. Just assuming that if she's traveling to Miami often for work, she has a decent job.
