A Season to Remember: Faith in the Midst of the Storm

In Tuscaloosa, Alabama the world revolves around one thing: The University of Alabamaā€™s Crimson Tide. But on April 27, 2011 everything changed. An EF4 tornado ripped through the small college town and changed it forever. Carson Tinker, the starting long snapper for the 2011 and 2012 National Champion Crimson Tide, was among those forever changed by the events of April 27. Tinker lost his girlfriend Ashley Harrison to the storm, but not his faith. In the midst of unfathomable destruction, Tinker saw love, companionship, perseverance, and triumph in a community torn apart by a natural disaster. Where everyone else saw tragedy, Carson Tinker saw blessing. Following the storm, the Crimson Tide suited up to face their most challenging season to date. Tinkerā€™s personal story guides readers through what cannot be described any other way than a season to remember.

Any good?
I watched about half of it yesterday. Yeah, a decent summer movie. I haven't watched the "weather forecast" today. By what it feels like outside, and how the sky looks, I'll finish it this afternoon. If I can smell the rain at 9:30 in the morning it means we'll see a quarter to a half of an inch today.

I can hear a neighbor out with a chain saw right now. He took some damage last night; don't know what or how much.

Welp. Wrong about the weather. Walk outside, it starts raining. Walk inside, it stops.

I wasn't wrong about the movie. It's a good flick. @OldPlayer I remember you saying something awhile back...asking, "why is it everything is a remake?"

Other than a few minor details, they do a good job with this one.

I hear it more of a Part2 then a remake. Isn't Helen Hunt in this one too?

I don't know. Don't think so.

Dana Delaney was the mom in this one. I have not looked up the cast. The lead, is absolutely "IT." The brown eyes...
I check out the cast list and no Helen Hunt not in this one. But I didn't find Dana Delaney in the list either. A Sammantha Ireland listed as the Mother. April and I may go see this one I really like the first one. I also see it has Bill Paxton son, James Paxton in it he plays Cody.

I enjoyed Twisters for what it was... sorta drug on a bit too long with with the final tornado scene, but I'd imagine it's kinda hard to storyboard scenes like that and make them powerful while trying to maintain continuity, much less realism. Not sure I'd call it a remake... it had a sequel feel to it from the start. I don't think any of the original cast from Twister was in it, Hunt definitely wasn't... Bill Paxton's son had a small cameo part, that I never would have known if I hadn't seen a blurb on it before I saw the movie.

Randomā€¦. But Bama and NFL related. I randomly ran into Dallas Turner out here in Vegas. He was in attendance for Sack Summit. lol itā€™s funny because it was really random and sort of in passing. He was like ā€œim Dallasā€. And I was a little distracted and not really locked in. So I was initially thinking ā€œoh nicknamesā€ šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚. So weā€™re talking and exchange numbers. I go to walk away and everything starts to click. I turn and yell ROLL TIDE. He laughs and says it back.
