Made it to the Frozen 4 a few years ago.

Good god, can we please convert the floor at Foster to make it dual use for hockey and basketball or SOMETHING ? I'm sure it'd only cost 200k or so. If we're not gonna sanction this sport because of title 9, at least build them a fooking place to play and practice without having to drive 70 miles.

There was a rumor a couple of years ago that a second rec center was going to be built and that it'd have an ice rink in it.

It sucks that these guys have to travel so much, but selfishly, completely selfishly, I'm glad they do. My wife and I have been season ticket holders the last three years (when they finally decided to sell season tix...been going since '06).

Their first venture into D1 last year was a success. There was no postseason as the boys had been getting used to in D3, but they went toe-to-toe with a number of D1 foes. Their recruiting is getting better and stronger. Losing Coach Q was a blow, but Bierchen has come back home and will do a great job. He won his first game last weekend when Bama went to WVU and split a series. It's going to take more than the money to make this a D1 sport; Title 9 dictates another women's sport. Cecil Hurt came to the D1 announcement a couple of years ago and has covered a game. I never saw the article, but another rumor that was going to be addressed was the beginning of a women's program. Never heard any more than that.

May have to buy a new jersey this season! RFTR!

I do love to watch some Ice Hockey, I wish I could watch Bama play it.

I'm planning to go to the game at Navy. Annapolis is an hour away or so.

EDIT: Possibly Delaware too. That's on the way back home for me so I could visit the family!

Thursday, the boys traveled to Oklahoma to play the #7 Sooners. They lost 3-0 but won last night 9-2! BOOMER BAMA! RFTR!

I thought the University nixed the club teams from using the script A and anything closely resembling the varsity sports? I'm hoping the backlash caused them to backoff, but I wasn't aware of any change.
