We all know it's been an issue the past few seasons... Overall, things have been much better this season. Still a few games to go, but Bama is on pace to have the fewest penalty yards since 2016 (44 per game) and the fewest penalties since 2017 (5 per game). As it stands now, the 2025 squad is averaging 5.2 for 44 yards per game. A big step in the right direction and obviously something that's helped the Tide in some close games.

I was definitely observing this during the LSU game.

I think that has A LOT to do with veteran field play.

In game one it was 2:1. Bama had eight that game: most of the season.

Since that game the difference between Bama and opponents is -12 or -13. Most of the time Bama has had a slight advantage, one or two here or there. LSU was just ... LSU being LSU?

25th best in the nation in fewest penalty yardage per game (2nd in the SEC) and 4th best in the nation in turnover margin (1st in SEC) is living right.

Sometimes when your plays are very slow developing.. you lose the time to think about committing penalties...

With this along with the D improvement if they could get the offense back on track they would be hard to handle by anyone. Maybe they will find a way to pull out of it on offense.
