Bama alum in the NFL's Championship Sunday: Who you got?

New England @ Denver: 3PM, ET, on CBS ••• Arizona @ Carolina: 6:30PM, ET, on FOX.

Personally, while I don't follow the NFL until this time of the year (viewing versus scores and highlights,) I have to say I'm siding with AZ. There's too many Bama ties on the Cardinal staff and roster:
Bruce Arians
Freddie Roach,
Amos Jones ... along with
Rashad Johnson and Ed Stinson.

Carolina has its ties with Shula, Harper, and Norwood but that comes with a huge caveat found at the QB position.

The AFC teams only have three tied to Bama; the Patriots with Dont'a and Michael Williams and Evan Mathis for the Bronco's (again, caveat with the QB.)

My picks and choice ... I want to see AZ vs NE in SB 50 ... purely for the coaching match-up.

Why not I hate it, I'm glad that Dev. won only because of Evan on the team. sad that Hightower lost to New England. Now we got The NFC game I'm pulling more for Arizona than Carolina just because of the QB. Right now that team leading 24-7 and about to score again. But we got Roman on that team too.

Big ditto!
Bingo!!

Well, that didn't work out for you.
I'm in the same boat. I spent the afternoon catching up on things on the DVR versus watching the games.

Not that it matters, but the outcomes of this weekends games loses a SB viewer; sort of. We're having a SB party at the bar so I'd be shirking responsibilities not to at least show up for awhile. If it wasn't a Carolina team playing, I could probably find a corner and an opponent for a few games of chess. BUT, I'll likely just be surfing the Internet only stopping for an occasional "thanks, welcome, etc." to those who are attending.

In my mind's eye, this game is Tennessee versus Auburn (even with the Bama alum playing/coaching.)
