Interesting to hear the R-kansas police Sgt. explain if Baker Mayfield had not gotten mouthy and hot footed out of there, they would have basically let him go with a warning. I've seen a lot of smart people do the dumbest things when the pressure is on.

Years ago, I remember this guy got caught by a game warden for drinking in a public park. He's got this beautiful, just painted, classic hot rod and he was parked facing two trees about the width of that car. When he was told to stay put until the county police arrive he decides to jump in his car and try to squeeze his hot rod between the trees and drive off. Well, he did it all right, but it turned out the car was about 3 inches wider than the 2 trees and he caved huge grooves in the side of his panels the length of the car. In short: He destroyed the body of the vehicle and a few miles up the road he was stopped by the county mounties and now he was taken to jail for fleeing. All for a $50.00 fine for public drinking.

Somewhere, Baker has got to be feeling similar idiot pains.
