I think it would be near impossible to pull off, but if Sankey could somehow do it, I would give him credit for once. But, if the SEC can gather a group of teams to join, maybe it's just cherry picking teams out there that are willing to play but don't have their conference backing (like OSU, Michigan, Nebraska, Iowa, etc). One of the biggest, but far from the only, obstacles would still be some school presidents standing in the way. BUT, if it happened, and we ended up with 30-40 teams playing a season on regional schedules that still concluded in a 4 team playoff, it would more than solve the money concerns for those included schools from the negotiated TV package. Meanwhile, the will-nots would be left as the have-nots. If nothing else, I appreciate that the SEC is at least trying to make a go at this and not showing up the the battle with a white flag instead of a firearm.
