The barners are a sad, delusional bunch. Their program has a stigma that it will never recover from. They experienced the biggest fall from grace in the history of the sport. No other program has ever gone from a national championship to a 3 win season so quickly. That is a record that will, in all likelihood, never be broken. Now, they want to chest beat over the Malzahn hiring. They harken back to 2010 as a reason to be excited over the hire. Well, I guess they forget about 2009 and 2011 when Gus was the OC and didn't have $cam. They are not ever going to replicate what they had in 2010, because, there won't be another $cam, and even if there is, what is the likelihood that he would go to auburn? But, you can't tell them that. They'll just say that they have Malzahn, and he is the answer. I heard one say the other day "this time, you won't be facing a 5-19 coach". Really? So, Gus coaches ONE season in the Sun Belt Conference, wins 9 games, and suddenly, just like that, in his first year in the SEC (as a head coach, not an OC) in a rebuilding job, he's going to compete for the SEC West? Yeah.....:icon_lol:
