What's really sad is that he was an Auburn Student/Player for all of ONE semester. It's not like he was a recruited player that had been at the barn for 3+ years and put in the sweat and time... he was a bought and paid for mercenary... in about every way...

A guy that I've known since I was 5 and went to school with through graduation posted on Facebook the night of the SB, about how it must suck for us "bammer" fans to see two of our greatest rivals QB the two SB teams, and how the whippings from Peyton and Cam must still haunt us, with Cam still being fresh on our minds...

I never post anything on facebook, but I had to respond to him... I said it must suck being a barner and having to watch us win 3 out of the last 5 NC since they did last... His response? "It hasn't changed my life any or caused me to lose any sleep".

Funny how having Cam and Peyton play in the Super Bowl must suck for us, but Auburn not winning anything really doesn't bother him...

I don't have hatred or resentment toward the two as individuals in the least. I do, however, hate the college football programs they played for. I have little trouble separating the sport from the player. And, both players are super talented. I don't know either of the men, so I won't speak to that.

That said, if one did really hate the two as your "friend" asserted, it was a best case scenario. Both QBs played awful. The NFL MVP looked like a rookie in a pre-season game, failed to look/act the part of a leader, much less an MVP, during and after the game. The other team literally won in spite of its QB. Worst QB/offensive performance I can remember in any NFL game that resulted in a Win.

So, if you disliked the QBs, you should have walked away pleased. That was about the best outcome you could get.
