LOL, just went back and watched the final sequence of the game for the 1st time since it was live on Saturday... I'd seen replays and such, but hadn't gone back to watch the actual play(s). I had forgotten about the crowd shots leading up to the TD... the auburn fans working themselves into a frenzy, no doubt about to rush the field. Some clown was recording himself on his phone and having a grand ole time, acting like he owed the world during the timeout(s). Then BOOM. Souls ripped from their chests, and the following crowd shots just moments later... complete opposite ends of the spectrum... Just absolutely beautiful. Poetic. Art. Perfection.

It would still just be a best guess estimation... just way too many variables in that situation. That's why a lot (not all) of the "analytics" stuff teams use (or claim to) is bullshit. Often times, they just serve as a convenient scapegoat for when the coach does what he wants to do and it doesn't work (see: Lane Kiffin).
