🏈 Aubs mad after the L$U game

On the LSU fg to win, Aubs leaped over a lineman and jumped off a player, both clearly penalties. Would the refs had the guts to call either if LSU missed? Glad we didn't have to find out.

That interference at the end on 12 was both the correct call by the officials and completely unnecessary on the defenders part. He had the good angle and knocked the ball away but he grabbed the receivers arm in the process. Just can't do that. Especially with an official in the perfect angle to see it.

I get the whole radio homer thing but the Aubie guys are whiny little bitches. Saying "hand fighting and contact ... is part of the route" for most of these examples is definitely just being whiny.

So many misssd PI calls in the first half that would have gone against the barn. I was astounded. Then I didn’t get to see the end. So fitting LOL.

Barn choked in 2nd half and was Beaten by a more physically fit team ImO.

A friend of mine who watched the game says the refs missed three targeting calls v. the barn in the first half.
I watched it pretty closely and I didn't see what I'd have thrown a flag for on three calls...one, maybe.

Here's what's so ironic about that. Let's assume there are three flags that should have been thrown and all the while we're hearing the Auburn crew say "let 'em play." Doesn't click, right?

You remember the 3-2 game against State? This game Saturday was uglier than that one--just bad football all around--unless you prefer sloppy, undisciplined football.

I expressed a thought here last week that mentioned feeling the overreactions would be as bad this week as week one based on what I was hearing pre-game. And here we are.

@jdpas29 I didn't see what I thought was a physical advantage in fitness--at least no more so than what we see out of Auburn. I did see what I consider to be another "Gus derp." It's bad when you've got a narrative running among fans and the media that almost quote each other; his offense works when it's based on power running with a pass threat. Yet, he continues to go ass-backwards half of the time.

I agree with your last statement about run-first being key for the barn. All that misdirection coconut shell game loses its lustre when you just drop back and bounce balls off of your butterfingered running back.

The conditioning issue actually came up in the first half to my perception. There was a period late in the second where Aubs d-linemen appeared to be struggling with LSUs pace and game plan. I think it helped LSU in the second half and certainly with a nearly 6 minute 14-play drive to seal the win.

I didn't see a lot of rotation which led me to say depth, not conditioning.
