I am still not convinced about Sumlin but this is certainly a time to prove himself on the big stage. Seems like his players love him.

not sure he equates to a big splash hire, recruiting Texas is a plus - will be interesting to see how well that offense does in the SEC.

so now we have Texas A&M and Ohio State having essentially two coaching staffs for a period of time - bowl game and recruiting.

not sure what I think about this one yet.

i can't say i'm upset about this, but i'm HIGHLY surprised they would hire sumlin over kirby.. assuming kirby wanted the job, as i'm sure he did. what is he without case keenum?

I agree, it sounds like it's a good hire. But, and this is a BIG BUT, his success will depend upon who he is able to bring as his DC.

Houston allowed teams to score 34 or more points on them 5 times last season.
