Autograph Session - Ken Roberts & Bobby Smith at Bryant Museum
Coach Smith was my high school in 64 and 65. He and Fred Sington Jr were the Co-Captains of Coach Bryant's 1st team 1958. He was a safety. He would get out that film of the 58 game between Bama vs LSU (Mobile...somebody check the endzone seats please) and Billy Cannon can up the gut and Bobby cleaned him up good and took him backward. He would say...look at that guys. I remember that 1st team meeting. He said.."I am not your buddy. I am your mentor".........He lives in Fort Walton about a 3 wood from the public course. Great guy and all Class.
