The insignificant drivel from those moronic announcers? Yes this is football related. I'll have to paraphrase, but they brought up college football coaches salaries (great topic for a basketball game huh?) and said regarding Nick Saban's salary "That was the biggest waste of money ever!" Blah blah blah, so much per game for a six wins blah blah blah. It should be expected being ESPN, but

1. Have an original thought.
2. Try sticking to something you know anything about
3. Since it's not basketball either, get your head out of Georgetowns ass long enough to mention someone other than "Hibbet", last I checked there was a guy on the Bama side that will go higher than Hibbet when he goes.
4. WHo in the h$ll thinks Alabama paid Saban that kind of money for this years games? Some people plan for the future, other become ESPN announcers.

I turn the channel or turn off what I am listening to if Saban and his contract is brought up. Some teams paid that much for a single win this year and Bama had six.
It is becoming evident that it is just because Saban is at Alabama. :? WE all know we didnt pay him to win an NC this year, he is getting his money to rebuild something that was on the brink of falling apart.

Me? I glady take the wins and the Saban family. They will do great things at Bama. The Sabans are special and most wish they had them.

yea i watched the game but didnt catch those comments, but one of the commentators is actually a College Football announcer as well so he does at least know something about college football.

I heard it and thought the same thing. Nessler was okay, but the other guy was an idiot. Speaking of salaries, let's go spend some more and get a new basketball coach.

I have found that the best argument to fire back at those comments is a simple one.....NOTRE DAME. Why isn't the media harping on how much the golden blimp makes? If my memory serves me right he only won 2 games this year.

The media is Notre Dame crazed. No money is to much for a win as long as it is Notre Dame. They make me sick!

ugh, I cannot stand Notre Dumb.

Hmmm, I wonder what the Notre Dame price per win is these days.

1.75m.

I recall reading where Kirk Ferentz was due 3.9m this year with bonuses, etc. 6 wins for that school this year as well.

Yeah, it's pretty much ESPN screwing Bama again. When Saban was the highest paid headcoach at LSU, no one seemed to care. When Charlie Weis was the highest paid coach ESPN didn't even question his salary... all they wanted to talk about was his "superior coaching skills (3 wins, LOL, we got twice as much for just a few more bucks and we didn't play every service school)". If Pete Carroll became the highest paid coach again I don't think ESPN would do anything but call it a testiment to his greatness.

Most of those I've heard would lead me to believe the exact opposite! :D

I've just sat through another 6-6 season of football, why would I watch a Tide basketball team that is going to struggle all year?

I did watch some of the game, but it is going to be a long season for CMG.
