His son plays for Clemson and he was reportedly present. Did anyone happen to see him and did he look happy?

Nope......I would have figured that the camera would have found him at sometime and put it up on the big screen in the stadium.....but never did.

Coach Richt actually placed a courtesy call to Coach Saban to ask if "he minded" him being at the game. Coach Saban said not only did he not mind but he would call the SEC Commish if necessary to clear up the matter.

Nice gestures from both gentlemen involved.

LOL! Thanks for not going "lenny" on me! (new vernacular!)

It was actually mentioned on the UGA/Ga Southern radio broadcast. Richt said he WOULD NOT wear orange but his wife said she would wear a Clemson ball cap. Fair enough!

That radio broadcast had the basics of the story right, but the details wrong.

The talked about it, personally, at the SEC Media Days. Coach Saban told Richt he should go see his son and then Richt told him that his son would likely red-shirt and unless he played the rules would keep him from attending the game. But, there was a good possibility he may dress for the game and if so Richt could attend.

As it ended up, Saban asked Richt if he would like for him (Saban) to make a call to the SEC commish office, or if he needed to make the call, to let him know and he would.

Since Jon Richt did dress, Saban wouldn't have had to make the call.

I don't know one way or another if Richt was there, hope he was, but IF he did get to see the game I assure you he was sitting in one of the sky boxes.
