With Bronson and Mirren ... wondered how that would fly. Is it like the "newer" Steve Martin / Martin Short drama? Murder in the Building or something like that?

It's a little similar. I guess you never saw Mobland with Bronson, Mirren, and Hardy. They work well together.

I did. In fact, her role in Mobland shocked me: one evil bitch. Her best in my view. It totally caught me off guard. Her role with Harrison Ford was a different side of her acting 'chops.'

I watched a little of Murder in the Building and at the time it just didn't grab me. It may on a slow summer day; don't know.

I love the chemistry both Martin and Short have. Gonna be said day when Only Murders in the Building ceases production. Steve Martin has said he's going to retire.

A show not grabbing me at the time is more about me than the show itself. I have a handful of series I'm wading through. It all depends on the mood at the minute. That's not mentioning it can take me hours to watch a :44 show. It probably took over two hours to watch last night's Gutfeld! this morning.

Gomez sits 'odd' with me. I can't tell you why. I look at Martin and Short as legends.

Watched the first episode last night. It is legit and pretty good.



For those of you that liked the Longmire series. On Amazon there is a series called Joe Pickett. It is about a Game Warden in Wyoming that over steps his bounds with the local Sheriff and solves crime in the area. I call it Possum Sheriff Longmire. There are only 2 seasons, but they are good. The author of the book series, C J Box, has a ton of Joe Pickett novels if you're a reader.

Justified is a top 5 all-timer series for me, and yes, Goggins (from B'ham) was/is awesome. Only really bad part was the casting of Michael Rapaport... that shit was terrible. I've been stacking the new series episodes on the DVR, haven't watched them yet. At this point, I'll probably hold off for a while. Was going to watch them last weekend when there was nothing on but ended up getting HBO Max instead and watched a few things on there. Currently watching Joe Pickett with the wife... a few episodes into season 2. It's terrible. Amazes me how these writers can have a good concept for a...

^^ no kidding. Rappaport didn't bring anything to Justified. Same character from Deep Blue Sea isn't a fit for the Kentucky hills.

On the Joe Pickett stuff. I have read about a dozen or so of C J Box's novels. A lot of the Joe Pickett stuff, but also some stand alone books. I guess that is why I liked the series.

I just finished binging The Pitt. Absolutely excellent show. Best medical show since ER and most real. Watched it with a nurse friend and when we got done watching she said it was excellent and real realistic

Even though I'm not a Mark Ruffalo fan at all... I stumbled across the show "Task" on HBO so far it's pretty good..

I've always watched shows and movies based largely on who is cast. Even those that aren't well known, if I see "_____" in it, I'll check it out.

Now I'm growing to the point I'll avoid shows based on who is cast, but not because of their acting chops. I see Ruffalo and think about the things he's said off the screen. It's becoming harder to separate.

DANG! @TerryP sorry about what I'm about to say! I feel the same way. I see the new/old show like the Weakest Link on Fox. The MC is Jane Lynch I know she is marred to a woman. That I can handle it her life. But the one of the contestant is Kathy Griffin! I mean Fox and the show had to Scrape the bottom of the barrel to get her.

Yeah didn’t even mention the music!!!!
I haven’t had a chance to watch 3 & 4 yet. Started a new project in Texas. Been super busy all I can do when I get to the hotel is lay my head down and get a few hours sleep. I’ll head home in the next 10-12 days to take a break for a week or so and I’ll catch up….
