I vividly remember watching that game in my dad's living room. When i saw the FB catch that screen I said "we just lost". I couldn't believe what happened next...

My wife and I were at the 5 yard line right where the play happened, about 20 rows up. What a play! We were going nuts! Then the bomb to DJ.

I still say that was Bama's best defense in my lifetime. Our offense was horrible after Pro went down that year in about game 4 or so against Florida. (The most constant loud game I've ever been to) So the other teams that year were stopping us most possessions but our D wouldn't give anything away. Even when LSU newt us, it hey needed a terrible pass interference call at the end... We still should have scored a few points and the game wouldn't have been in doubt... But what a D that 2005 team was. * I would have loved to see them matched up against Texas or USC. They would have shut both down.

Yep thought it was over with Tennessee on that late drive before Roman Harper made his hit. That was one of the wildest games I've ever witnessed.

Never realized that current Philadelphia Eagle DeMeco Ryans (who I know is a Bama alum) was in on that play as well. Nice.

Yep DeMeco was the leader of that defense. Lots of future NFL talent on that defense. Anthony Madison, Wallace Gilberry, Mark Anderson, Ryans, Roman Harper, Charlie Peprah, etc.

It was probably the best defense we had since 92 at that point but 2011 blew it out of the water imo.
