🏈 Any news on the replacement DC yet?

@TerryP I would almost swear that at one time you insinuated that Pruitt and Kirby didn't see eye to while on staff at UA? Am I wrong? That is why I haven't given any notion of him staying on at UGA with Kirby. I thought they had a difference in opinion.

I know none of that has any bearing on him coming to UA........just I have never thought he would stay at UGA because of the rift.

OK! Help me out here Someone list the DC don't have to be in order either. That is on our Christmas Wish List, this will help me with the name. Thanks in advance.

@rammerjammer Did you read Tarkenton's comments on Pruitt a few weeks or so ago? To me, they read like Pruitt's "attitude" has matured (and not in a good sense.)

Like so???

If we did promote Mel or Tosh to DC, we could fill the LB hole by bringing James Willis back. He's currently a defensive assistant with the Saints.

I could definitely see Saban bringing Geoff Collins back. He's a LB coach too, so no shuffling needed.

James Willias would be a perfect hire for LBers. He was here for what? 1 year? It was 2009 and they were ridiculous that year. Not only because of Ro, he was a bad ass before hand, but because of how Hightower was replaced with a freshman in Nico and Cory Reamer.

I've also heard form multiple sources in multiple locales that Pruitt is a grade A asshole to be around. He's good at his job, but he's a legend in his own mind. I'd love to see CNS promote Tosh, I think that would work pretty well. I also have a remote connection to Collins and have been told he's a real stand up guy. I wouldn't mind him either. He was smart enough not to screw up what he had in Gainesville. I agree with others that Tucker just seems to be hanging out with us to rehab his NFL resume.

The only reason I never really pulled for Tucker to get the nod is because I wonder if he really is a NFL guy.
With these changes one thing to watch is who is on the recruiting trail. I've not seen him mentioned a lot ... heck, any?

The general feeling I'm getting is there's only one coordinator on his way out.

@TerryP........ Pruitt is not making any friends. Apparently anywhere. It seems, from the outside looking in, that he is adapt at burning bridges.

That's how I see him as well. But, it's something Saban believes he can control (see Lane.)

Pruitt is scheduled to meet with Michigan about their DC position. So, it doesn't sound like he is "coming home" like that tweet says, at least not yet.

There's one more school in the B1G that wants to interview Pruitt.

He talked with Saban yesterday. Whether the job was offered or not? I don't know. Several have confirmed the conversation, no one has confirmed the job was offered/taken.
