TUSCALOOSA, Alabama — His senior season included a fair share of bumps and bruises. Now it appears to be over.
Alabama starting right guard Anthony Steen had shoulder surgery, according to CBSSports.com, and will likely miss his Crimson Tide finale against Oklahoma in the Sugar Bowl.
Steen, a three-year starter, missed the Colorado State game with lingering effects from a concussion. He also had a few creative tape jobs on his hand in recent weeks.
Kellen Williams has been the sixth man of sorts for the Alabama offensive line and he started in Steen's place in the Colorado State win.
Steen is the second to half surgery since the Iron Bowl. Safety HaHa Clinton-Dix had his knee scoped in the days after the loss to Auburn.
Steen, according to his Twitter account, spent some time this weekend hunting.
