šŸˆ Another WR leaves UT: brings total to 11 having left their program

I was over at VolNation to see what they have to say about this and that recruit. Remember Kiffin's comments about Pahokee HS after signing day? Apparently they haven't forgot those words.
:laughcry:
The whole nation knows about Tennessee Head Coach Lane Kiffin’s regrettable remarks towards the Pahokee community shortly after landing Richardson. It appears those comments still ring in the ears of some at Pahokee High, as coaches from Tennessee attempted to visit Pahokee earlier in the week.

ā€œThe principal kicked them out because he’s still mad at the coach or something like that,ā€ said Ford.

A total of 11 Tennessee players with scholarships have left the Volunteers football program under new coach Lane Kiffin, including four since the end of spring practice.
A team spokesman confirmed that wide receivers Ahmad Paige and Tyler Maples, offensive guard Darris Sawtelle and quarterback B.J. Coleman have left the program since the team's Orange and White scrimmage game on Apr. 18.
Kiffin, who was introduced at Tennessee last December, said during a Big Orange Caravan stop earlier this week that he only wants players who want to play for the Vols.
Tennessee is allowed a total of 85 scholarship players each season under NCAA rules.

That's one area they definitely don't need to be losing players from.

I posted on one of their players leaving awhile ago here:

Colemen hurt, as he was probably far and away their best QB, he was pissed at Kiffin for getting an unfair shake, which it most likely was unfair.

Also, I saw a thread about this while browsing tigerdroppings, and apparently they were denied entry into Pahokee HS(which kiffin angered when he was mouthing off)

Coleman transferred back to his hometown (mine too) of Chattanooga. It makes me smile with glee because every time Coleman would take the field in high school my friends would say "He's gonna be THE man at Tennessee. He's gonna tear BAMA up." Well you see what's happened now.

What is that, the 11th player to leave the team since Kiffin started?

While I believe the situations are very different, remember that if we intend to fit in a full class from the last signing class we will have to experience something like 14 current players leave between now and whenever it is those new players arrive on campus and start counting in the 85 total.

And, frankly, I, and probably most of us, either thought or hoped Saban would be so hard on the then current players when he first arrived a few years back that we would see attrition in similar numbers Kiffin and UT are experiencing. Sometimes it can be better for the program and for certain individual players if a quick parting of the ways occurs.

I see that the vast, vast majority of the Tennessee players leaving are on the offensive side. Anyone really surprised? Kiffin will run a radically different offensive system than did Fulmer and the Vols roster was pretty empty of explosive playmakers to begin with.

I had a feeling it would not be long before the present players saw right through him. It is a matter of time before his recruits will be walking also. You can only take so much of his spouting off to the media and the topless dancing by the coaching staff. The kiffindales will run them all off soon.
