Viane Talamaivao, Rivals100 offensive guard from Centennial High School in Corona, Calif., confirmed to me late Monday night that he decommitted from Alabama. He committed to USC.

I exchanged texts with Viane after he confirmed that he flipped to USC.

"I have nothing, but respect and love for the Crimson Tide nation! I appreciate all the love! I'll be rooting for Bama! I will never forget the expereicne I had up in T-Town! Still tell everyone Roll Tide!

Viane had a tough decision to make with his family wanting him to stay closer to home. The family enjoyed the experience to Alabama a few weeks ago. They still wanted him to stay home. You can't blame a kid for that.

Alabama will be fine on the offensive line. They knew heading into the season there were a few who would not likely end up in the class. I don't know if Viane was one of those players. Some will ask if Alabama goes after another interior OL? I think they will still go after the same guys- Brian Wallace, Marcelys Jones, Rod Taylor, Damien Mama. I don't expect that to change.

Slow, lazy - he's just making room for someone else.

Some perspective.

There's a few bucks...

"Ever since the day Alabama offered, that's where his mind and heart were set, from that day," Chris Talamaivao says. "Just being there this weekend and seeing where he's going to be the next few years, there's no second guessing. We just spent 500 dollars on the strip buying Alabama gear for all the family members. It's Alabama. That's where he wants to be."

Viane Talamaivao decommits from Bama, commits to USC??

True or false? I've seen stuff on Twitter about it but no legitimate sources yet.

He's a 4 star guard from Southern California, class of 2014.

EDIT: didn't see the original post, sorry!

I was pleasamtly surprised when he committed before ever stepping foot on the campus. I hate to see him flip but can't blame him for staying close to home. We all know that if Momma ain't happy, nobody is happy!!

Saban was losing it about teams negative recruiting Alabama saying freshmen dont play at Bama (even tho the second most freshmen in the country played this year was by Bama) during Hey Coach this week. Sounds like that may be something fresh on his mind right now.
