Keaton Anderson, 2015 linebacker for Florence High School in Ala., visited Tuscaloosa to watch Alabama square off against Tennessee, where he is a three-time legacy.
The 6-foot-1, 215-pound prospect has received offers from both rival schools. His dad, brother, and uncle all played for the University of Tennessee.
"It was great, I had a blast," said Anderson. "My whole family came up and everybody enjoyed it.
"I came to the game knowing no matter who won or who lost I was going to try to keep no feeling towards it because I'm trying to stay 100-percent neutral to anything."
Anderson said his favorite part of the trip included talking with several of the coaches, including Coach Nick Saban. He also talked with Coach Kirby Smart, Coach Kevin Steele, Coach Billy Napier, Coach Burton Burns and Coach Lance Thompson.
"Coach Saban and I talked after the game, so he was just asking how my team was doing, how I was doing, making sure we were in the playoffs, hoping everything was well," he said. "It's always fun getting to talk to him because it's such a big deal to everybody."
Anderson said Alabama played great, sound football overall and thought the offense and defense looked equally as strong.
"Landon Collins had a huge play on that interception return, but as a whole everybody played for each other, played with each other," said Anderson. "Not one player had a huge standout game in my mind, but everybody as a whole played outstanding."
Aside from the football program and academics, Anderson said the atmosphere of Bryant-Denny Stadium and all the fans help make the Alabama experience.
"They're always loud, it's so loud in there," he said. "I think having Tennessee there helped it out with the sound a little bit. Everybody there is always die-hard, everybody. The environment there is awesome."
Anderson hopes to visit Alabama again after football season.
"I don't know if I'll get to get down and see them again because playoffs are about to start, and I want to focus on my team," Anderson said. "I don't want visits to get in the way I play or distracting to any of my teammates.
"I love Alabama. Everything they're doing right now is outstanding. Of course they are winning like always, so there's not much more you can ask for there. They're definitely one of my top schools."
Florence High School is 7-2 overall and will play Mountain Brook in the playoffs on Nov. 8.
