šŸˆ šŸˆ Alabama's Fall Camp~2021

Saban called him out publicly and he seems to have responded in a way Coach agreed with. Still will have to earn his way back into good graces, but this is a decently good sign that he might be willing to do so.

He'd be a major dumbass to mess up now. NFL GM's, fans, coaches, and media alike are on him and he could be making millions for himself with a good year and no BS on the backside.

As I Recall...most of Nick's comments regarding #19 (over his career at Bama) have been measured. JMO.... #19 is one of those players Coach Bryant used to speak about as a player that had a lot of ability but only played at 80% or so of that ability. Coach Bryant believed if a player(s) played at 120% of your ability then you could defeat those that played half-azz and who is going to disagree with Coach Bryant.

It makes zero sense for a hyped Jr that wants to make the coin in the NFL to be called out just as soon as the jocks and socks were placed in his locker. That is a problem and those NFL persons will make note.

ā€œPeople who are in it for their own good are individualists. They don’t share the same heartbeat that makes a team so great. A great unit, whether it be football or any organization, shares the same heartbeat.ā€..........Coach Bryant

Hence, your DQB for 2021 with Harris alongside:

Safety Jordan Battle added, ā€œHe’s a leadership guy. He’s on the leadership team with us. He’s stepping into that role very well. He’s playing very good on the inside, being very vocal, making sure the D-line, the whole defense is getting the calls. We love what he’s doing right now for us.ā€

Man, you wouldn't 'fess up to that in '19 for a minute...or where they were on the depth chart.
I am old and forget more than I remember but AS I remember me being on the team that poor ILBer play was a huge problem along with safety play in 2019. The Loss of Pruitt really didn't help with the recruiting of ILBers and the Tosh deal didn't either.

But it APPEARS Bama is doing better in the Jimmy and Joe's now. We'll see.

WR is still a crowded room. Who becomes the starting 3? Who are the top 6 who play?

Metchie
Bolden
Jameson Williams
Traeshon Holden
Javon Baker
Agiye Hall
Christian Leary
JoJo Earle
Jacorey Brooks

Really wondering if Bolden gets bumped out of the way. He did well in the slot last year, but I wonder with these younger guys coming in if he does not get the playing time he deserves/wants/expects after waiting his turn.

Need some experience on the field especially early so I would expect Bolden to be out there. Possession guy, good route runner with good hands. Been in the spot light before. Assuming he is someone Saban trusts. No one should expect him to be Waddle or Smith. Not realistic or fair. He could be more like the Renfroe guy that was at Clemson for like a decade.

I'd like to see Metchie, Jameson Williams, and Agiye Hall a lot in 3 WR looks. That would be lethal.
I believe you'll get that chance but I also believe those aren't the "top three" when the team kicks off against Miami.

By whom?

I'm with you here: Williams, Metchie, and Bolden. Jo-Jo turned some heads this summer in 7 on 7's as did Hall, Leary, and hell let's not forget about Holden who's a big possession type guy for Bryce.

While young there's a hell of a lot of talent in the room.
