JMO but I like OC in the box and DC on the sideline. In my mind OC needs that instant big pic view whereas DC needs to be able to see closer view of slices as they happen. JMO tho

I may have missed this, but I saw most every press conference leading up to the season so I don’t think I did… but… I was waiting for this to be asked about for the last month and it never was. Surprised me, maybe they just assumed O’Brien would be on the field. I’m sure he’ll be asked about it now, but it would have been a good question leading into the season instead of 80% of the shit they throw up there…

As long as Marrone and O'Brien have known each other (20+ years as close friends since working together) I don't feel there will be many, if any, communication issues between the two. They should be in sync.

Yeah first impression was OC should be on the field. During the last few years with the offensive explosion the OC has been on the field. Then I was Marrone on the sideline seems like that will make it work. I assume O'Brian felt him being in the box was best for how he does things. Someone just needs to insure Young stays calm when things do not go as planned. He has a lot of expectations on him. Also, Marrone being on the sideline will allow him to coach up the young OL.

I turned 71 yesterday. I am just glad to be around.

Mrs. Bama and I have the grandkids this weekend, well 2 of them. I have been the good papa and played with wrestlers, power rangers (all old ones from our two boys) and dolls with the granddaughter. It’s now time to focus on AL A BAM A!

Running back Jaylan Knighton has been suspend for four games, tight end Larry Hodges is out for two and safety Avantae Williams is serving a six-game suspension to begin the season. All three players were suspended "for a violation of team rules" according to a release by UM.
