50 Receiving yards are needed by WR DeVonta Smith to become Alabama’s all-time leader. Smith enters Saturday’s game against Arkansas with 3,414 yards on 198 receptions. The Crimson Tide career record is 3,463 yards, compiled by Amari Cooper on 228 receptions from 2012 through 2014. One of seven players in SEC history with 3,000 receiving yards, Smith is 346 away from the conference career record of 3,760 receiving yards established by Vanderbilt WR Jordan Matthews from 2010 through 2013. Smith also is one TD reception away from Cooper’s single-season record of 16 set in 2014.

126 SEC regular-season games have been won by Alabama coach Nick Saban, tied for second on the conference’s all-time list. Saban has an on-the-field record of 126-27 in conference regular-season games as the coach at LSU and Alabama (28-12 with the Tigers and 98-15 with the Crimson Tide). Steve Spurrier had a 126-52 record in SEC regular-season games as the coach at Florida and South Carolina (82-12 with the Gators and 44-40 with the Gamecocks). The SEC record for league regular-season wins is held by Paul “Bear” Bryant. Bryant compiled a record of 159-46-9 in SEC regular-season games as the coach at Kentucky and Alabama (22-18-4 at Kentucky and 137-28-5 at Alabama). Officially, Saban has 123 conference regular-season victories because three were vacated due to NCAA sanctions.
